Originally slated for our 2020 program, COVID-19 meant Nunsense had to be pushed into 2021. Featuring one of the longest rehearsal periods ever undertaken in an HTG production, Nunsense was enjoyed by a significant number of patrons and was a fantastic way to launch back into full scale musicals adhering to strict COVID-Safe measures!

Notes

Mittagong Playhouse scheduled dates were to be 25 October to 9 November 2019
Originally set to perform at the Mittagong Playhouse, the evening before opening night saw the closure of the venue due to possible structural issues. HTG gratefully acknowledges Chevalier College, Bowral who provided access to their Performing Arts Centre enabling the show to proceed - albeit later in the year.

Notes

The Sound of Music program remembered valued and much-respected HTG member, David Furey who passed away after a battle with illness. David played many iconic roles in our productions over the years and will be sadly missed.
The cast were treated to a visit by star of the 1965 film version (and local resident) Nicholas Hammond. Nicholas portrayed "Friedrich" in the film version.
The second time HTG presented "The Sound of Music" with the first production performed in March-April 2001 (different cast)

Notes

Oklahoma was dedicated to long time HTG friend and Musical Directorm Mike Butcher OAM. Oklahoma was a personal favourite of Mike's and it was with great sorrow, HTG learned of his passing on April 25, 2015. Mike was made a Life Member (posthumous) of the Highlands Theatre Group at the 2020 AGM.
