Highlands Theatre Group generally undertakes between 3-4 productions per year which includes both musicals and plays. The annual season is determined and finalised by the Committee in the year prior (sometimes earlier).
Directors are supported by an enthusiastic committee which has at it’s disposal a strong group of committed volunteers with significant experience in everything from wardrobe and set design to publicity. Our Directors are also fortunate to have access to a quality group of actors and to enjoy working with an organisation which has a good reputation and a loyal audience base.
HTG has a policy of providing a Production Manager (usually a Committee member) who oversees the production. HTG is the producer of all productions and maintains regular input with all Directors to ensure the reputation of the group and it’s values are adhered to. Generally, Directors new to the Group are expected to undertake an Assistant Director role prior to being afforded an opportunity take the Director’s seat. This requirement may be waived at the sole discretion of the committee and considered on a case by case basis.
If you, or someone you know, would be interested in Directing a future production for Highlands Theatre Group, please contact the Secretary:
to obtain a copy of HTG’s Submission Guidelines document which explains the requirements.
