Steven Clancy

Steve is the current President of HTG.  He has been involved with HTG since 2013 where he was cast in the hugely successful Pride and Prejudice as Mr Darcy a role he wasn’t really auditioning for.  Following a few positions in production, sound for Don’t Drink the Water and Assistant Director on The Ghost Train, he took to the boards again as Ken Gorman in the Neil Simon Comedy Rumors.  At the end of 2016 he was cast in various scenes in The Sneeze citing much inspiration from the comedy of Rowan Atkinson’s Mr Bean.  In November 2017 he debuted as director for HTG bringing a revision of the classic Neil Simon comedy The Odd Couple (with Female leads) to the Mittagong Playhouse.  Belfast Girls is his follow-up directorial piece which has become for him a passion project.

Steve has studied acting performance at the Australian Academy of Dramatic Arts and is delighted to be able to engage in theatre to balance out his role as the Chaplain of HarbisonCare.
